Day 1

Day 1: Arrival & Birding at Sippighat Wetlands & Chidya Tapu

We will receive you from the airport and drop you at the resort. After check-in at the resort, we will head out to Sippighat Wetlands. Sippighat is on the outskirts of Port Blair town which used to be paddy fields but got inundated after the 2004 Tsunami and thus attract a good numbers of waders and water birds. Birds to expect include Andaman Teal; Chinese Pond Heron; Chinese Egret; Bailon’s Crake; Slatybreasted Rail; Ruddy-breasted Crake; Pin-tailed Snipe; Eastern Jungle Crow; Stork-billed Kingfisher; Pacific Swallow; Watercock; Black-naped Tern; Eastern Yellow Wagtail; Red-throated Pipit; Yellow Bittern; Cinnamon Bittern; Oriental Reed Warbler; Red-necked Stint; Long-toed Stint; Grey-headed Lapwing; Philippine Shrike etc. At Dawn, We will drive towards Chidya Tapu (30mins drive) to cover the Nocturnal endemics like Hume’s Hawk Owl; Andaman Hawk Owl; Andaman Scops Owl along with Walden’s Scops Owl.
Day 2

Full Day Birding at Chidiyatapu Reserve Forest

We will head out at 5.30am towards Chidiyatapu Reserve Forest which is 45min drive from Port Blair stopping along the way at couple of places. Andaman Hawk Owl We will be walking on the road inside the reserve forest in the morning and spotting the birds. After Breakfast, we will visit the Biological Park situated at there and do trail birding inside the park from 9-11am. We will come back for lunch and return in the evening again towards Chidiyatapu but trek towards Badabalu beach and cover the Nocturnal endemic Andaman Hawk Owl; Andaman Scops Owl as well as any other nocturnal bird we missed in the previous day. Birds to expect include Andaman Serpent Eagle; Crested Serpent Eagle; Andaman Treepie; Andaman Drongo; Andaman Shama; Andaman Bulbul; Andaman Green-pigeon; Andaman Wood-pigeon; Andaman Flowerpecker; Andaman Coucal; Olive-backed Sunbird; Freckle-breasted Woodpecker; Long-tailed Parakeet; Vernal Hanging Parrot; Collared Kingfisher; White-headed Starling; Andaman Woodpecker; Andaman Cuckoo-dove; Common Hill Myna; Pacific Reef Egret; White-bellied Sea Eagle; Changeable Hawk Eagle; Whitebreasted Wood-swallow; Grey Wagtail; Blue-eared Kingfisher.
Day3

Morning Session at Shoal Bay; Evening Session at Garacharma Wetlands

Our Day 3 starts early at 4.45am, we will head towards Shoal Bay by taking a 5.00am ferry to Bamboo flat and will reach our birding spot before 6.00am. We will walk along the forest trail spotting the birds and return back to resort at 11.30am. After lunch and a quick rest period, we will head out to Teylrabad Wetlands at 2.45p.m. Birds to expect include Andaman Green-Pigeon; Andaman Cuckooshrike; Andaman Wood-Pigeon; Andaman Crake; Andaman Treepie; White-headed Starling; Andaman Bulbul; Andaman Shama; Ruddy Kingfisher; Blue-eared Kingfisher; Mangrove Whistler; Andaman Drongo; Black Baza; Andaman Woodpecker; Andaman Cuckoo-dove; Violet Cuckoo; Blyth’s Paradise Flycatcher; Forest Wagtail. Long-toed Stint; Red-necked Stint; Broad-billed Sandpiper; Curlew Sandpiper; Daurian Starling; Chinese Pond Heron; Stork-billed Kingfisher; Red-throated Pipit; Eastern Jungle Crow. After Sunset; we will search for the Andaman Barn Owl (Less Chances).
Day 4

Day 5

Birding at Chidiyatapu/Mt. Harriet National Park/Sippighat

On the last day, we target the birds we missed in the previous days. Visiting the areas where sighting is likely or try to get better photographs of some of the endemics.
